Barbara Kiousis, PTA, CPT
Physical Therapist Assistant, Personal Trainer
Barbara Kiousis is a NASM certified Personal Trainer, a Senior Fitness Specialist, and a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant at ProMotion Physical Therapy. With years of experience in the field of physical therapy and rehabilitation, she focuses on form with movement to reduce patterns of compensation and to optimize gains in function/fitness. Barbara’s area of specialty includes establishing an exercise regime, whether it be for someone new to exercise, or for someone after a period of inactivity due to illness, injury, or life demands in general. As well as being a personal trainer, Barbara also is a wellness instructor in The Wellness Studio at ProMotion, and leads the Strength and Balance class in our Silver Sneakers Flex program.
Initial Physical Assessment: One-on-one physical assessment includes developing an individualized exercise plan based on your needs and goals. This time is spent discussing your lifestyle and physical activity level, as well as exploring goals best suited for you in your current situation and stage of life. The first visit will include establishing a baseline level of fitness in the areas of flexibility, strength, endurance, cardiovascular system function.
Training Sessions: Training sessions are designed for you based on your particular needs. Sessions last approximately an hour, and will challenge and motivate you to help keep you on track to meet your goals.
